Ordered delivery from here for a late night meal. I got the pork mofongo with cheese on the side. Super fresh super delicious super soft, the pork extra crispy and that was to my surprise! The sauce that came with it, extremely flavorful but it was a bit oily. I just dump the oil that was sittin on top and poured the rest of the sauce over the mofongo. My only complaint is.. $2 extra for one slice of cheese?! Thats insane! Otherwise I would order from here again

Food was fire. It's best at the top of the afternoon. That rice was soft and had a lot of flavor. Got a 2 liter Mountain Dew to drink

Last weekend when my friends and I arrived in Harlem, we went to this little Caribbean restaurant called El Valle. My friend raved and raved about how delicious and affordable the food is, as she has been here before. It is a very small space inside. This is a cash only establishment. Right as you walk in you will see all the premade food behind the glass. There were no prices listed anywhere. Nor is the food labeled. So I asked what some of the things were. They had mashed plantains, which is really the only thing that I was interested in. I told the lady to give me a small portion. I also asked her for a bit of the dark meat chicken. Well, my portion wasn't small at all. I don't think I've ever had mashed plantains before. And these were very delicious, very similar tasting to mashed potatoes, except a bit more chunky. The chicken seemed a bit overcooked, but in a good way. It just fell off the bone it was so tender. My friends got rice and okra, and an egg and cheese sandwich. The sandwich wasn't listed anywhere she had to ask for it. My meal was $10. The rice and okra was also $10. The sandwich was $5. They have tasty food at a bargain. There is however no portion control. Whatever fits on your plate is $10. I wish more things in life worked this way.

Delighted with my mofongo of chicharrón enchanted I would eat it 10 times more enchanted as the service so good very good food. Ambiance so good .
